Climate

The Caribbean climate is tropical, with temperatures in the 70s and 80s year round. Winter months tend to be rainier than summer months, but there is always lots of sun. One of the distinctive aspects of the property is its location on a hill, close to the ocean. There are always gentle breezes to keep the house comfortable and blow away the bugs. It is this distinctive feature that gave rise to the property’s name: Hacienda breezes of the sea.

People often ask if the house has air conditioning. The answer is no; it is not necessary. For those rare days and quiet nights when the wind does not blow, each room has a ceiling fan. The best advice we can give our guests is don’t bring too many clothes. A bathing suit, shorts and tee shirts are about all you will need.
